A number of Liverpool fans have been hailing the brilliance of Curtis Jones, following an excellent performance against RB Leipzig.
The Reds returned to winning ways on Tuesday night, beating the Bundesliga side 2-0 in Budapest and putting themselves in pole position to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
Mohamed Salah opened the scoring early in the second half, before Sadio Mane doubled Liverpool’s lead soon after, with both finishing ruthlessly.
It was a dominant display from Jurgen Klopp’s men, who bounced back from three defeats in a row with a superb Champions League victory.
While Salah and Mane earned much of the plaudits because they scored the goal, Jones was arguably Man of the Match at the Puskas Arena.
The 20-year-old shone in the middle of the park with his work-rate and quality, not looking remotely out of place on the big European stage.
