Mohamed Salah produced outrageous pass in Liverpool’s win over RB Leipzig

Mohamed Salah produced an outrageous pass in Liverpool’s win over RB Leipzig, in a moment that largely went under the radar at the time.

The Reds won 2-0 away to the Bundesliga side in the Champions League on Tuesday night, taking control of their last-16 tie.

Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool, taking his goal tally to 24 for the season, before Sadio Mane completed the scoring.

The Egyptian King was excellent throughout the evening and one superb disguised pass to Mane outlined his brilliance:

Unfortunately, Mane’s touch let him down, otherwise it could have been a memorable assist.

So much is made of Salah’s staggering goalscoring record that he can often be underrated in other aspects of his game.

The 28-year-old is also a creative force, assisting 41 times for Liverpool in total, including four this season.

While Mane and Roberto Firmino have fallen below their world-class best for much of 2020/21, Salah has been a shining light in Jurgen Klopp’s attack, already beating his tally from the whole of the last campaign.
