An amazing statistic regarding Mohamed Salah is proof that he should be considered a true Liverpool great.
The Egyptian King is having an excellent season for the Reds, firing home 24 goals while others around him have struggled.
Salah again found the net in Tuesday’s 2-0 victory against RB Leipzig and he will be a key figure on Saturday’s Merseyside derby clash with Everton at Anfield.
A statistic revealed by OptaJoe‘s Michael Reid on Twitter shows that the 28-year-old now has the best goals-per-minute ratio of any Liverpool player in history, from those to have made more than 100 appearances for the club.

This is true greatness we are watching at Anfield and Liverpool supporters should never take it for granted. Salah is an extraordinary footballer whose numbers in the final third are up there with the best players in Premier League history.
Bizarrely, there are still some who don’t seem to rate and adore him as much as they should, but the above statistic outlines why he is so special.
Despite Liverpool’s struggles, he is still currently three goals clear in the Premier League Golden Boot race this season, while his record of 118 goals in 186 games for the Reds, despite not being an out-and-out striker, is beyond belief.
