Jurgen Klopp and Pep Lijnders were both “hugely impressed” by Ben White when he faced Liverpool, a source has told Football Insider.
The 23-year-old has been one of many players tipped to be on the Reds’ radar, as they look at potential centre-back additions this summer.
White shone in Brighton’s 1-0 win at Anfield last month and his performance is believed to have caught Klopp’s eye.
The source mentioned in the report claims that the Englishman is still on Liverpool’s radar.

White is having an impressive campaign for the Seagulls, shining at both centre-back and in midfield.
At 6ft1in tall, he is not the biggest defender, however, and winning an average of 1.4 aerial duels per game in the Premier League this season suggests he is not the most dominant.
As a comparison, Ozan Kabak already has an average of 3.5, despite a shaky start to life at Liverpool.
Klopp knows a good player when he sees one, though, and if White has done enough to make him believe he can be a shrewd addition, the Reds should consider a summer bid.
