Jon Moss will take charge of Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Sheffield United this weekend, it has been confirmed.
The Reds face the Blades at Bramall Lane on Sunday night, looking to finally win again in the league, having lost their last four in a row.
Moss has been named as the referee for the must-win match, with officials under so much scrutiny this season.
Meanwhile, Andy Madley is on VAR duty – hopefully he won’t be called into action on Sunday.

Although Moss is unlikely to be a popular appointment with everyone, there is some positivity from a Liverpool perspective.
The 50-year-old took charge of the Reds’ impressive 3-1 win away to West Ham last month, with the match passing without much controversy.
He also refereed Liverpool’s 7-0 victory at Crystal Palace before Christmas, suggesting he may be something of a lucky charm for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
The main hope is that Moss avoids robbing the Reds in cruel fashion, with endless key decisions seemingly going against them this season.
