Jordan Henderson will miss at least four to six weeks of action through injury, according to The Athletic‘s Oliver Kay.
The Liverpool captain limped off in last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Everton, having picked up a groin issue.
Henderson attempted to play on, but the injury was clearly causing him too much grief to continue.
Kay claims that the 30-year-old’s ‘best-case scenario’ is missing four to six weeks, but there is every chance his layoff could be longer, even threatening his participation at Euro 2020 this summer.

There comes a point when you almost have to laugh at Liverpool’s injury misfortune – frankly, what is Jurgen Klopp meant to do in this situation?
He now his three best centre-backs all out of the season, while the two key midfielders who were filling in in defence are now absent, too.
Henderson’s leadership, versatility and quality are all going to be a huge miss during this key point in the season, with Liverpool now desperately fighting for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Other individuals are going to have to step up hugely without the skipper around, starting away to Sheffield United on Sunday evening.
