Liverpool are interested in signing Real Betis defender Aissa Mandi on a free transfer this summer, according to La Razon [via Sport Witness].
The 29-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season and he could move on to pastures new.

Mandi is a player with a huge amount of experience, so he could be a shrewd addition this summer. Not only that, but to snap him up for free means Klopp wouldn’t be delving far into any transfer funds available.
The Algerian has started 18 of Betis’ league games this season, scoring three goals, and his versatility means he can also fill in at full-back, if required.
It is certainly a situation to monitor, especially with the injury-prone Joel Matip increasingly looking like someone who can’t be trusted over sustained periods.
Mandi is only winning an average of 1.6 aerial duels per game in La Liga this season, however, which may work against him, given Liverpool reportedly wanting an aerially-dominant centre-back.
