Gini Wijnaldum is the most underrated player in the Premier League, according to Manchester United legend Gary Neville.
The Dutchman has been a magnificent servant for Liverpool, spending almost five years at Anfield after joining from Newcastle United in 2016.
Wijnaldum’s brilliance can often go unnoticed, however, with others in the Reds’ team more likely to make the headlines.
Responding to a question regarding the most unsung player in the league on Twitter, Neville named the Liverpool midfielder as his choice:

Neville is spot on about Wijnaldum being so vastly underrated, with the 30-year-old still not earning the plaudits he deserves.
He has been such a huge player for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, working doggedly in the middle of the park, keeping hold of the ball – he has a 91.9 percent pass completion rate in the Premier League this season – and also rarely getting injured.
There is every chance that Wijnaldum will leave Anfield at the end of the season, however, having not yet signed a new deal.
If he does move on, his vast influence may only be truly felt when he is no longer producing the goods for Liverpool.
