World-class Liverpool midfielder Thiago has truly come to the fore in recent weeks and was once again in sparkling form against Burnley on Wednesday night.
The Spaniard arrived on Merseyside from Bayern Munich last summer with a well-established reputation as one of the best in the world in his position.
Having struggled to recapture his best form for much of the season, the 30-year-old has peaked at just the right time to inspire the Reds into fourth position with just one game to go.
Jurgen Klopp’s side earned a hard-fought 3-0 victory against Burnley at Turf Moor and Thiago was a driving force in the result.
But, it was one moment in particular that caught the eye as the £20million (BBC) signing somehow rounded his man tight to the touchline with an incredible backheel out the sky.

This wizardry aside, Thiago completed 88 per cent of all passes made on the night – earning a Sofascore rating of 6.80 – some way behind the 8.90 rating given to worthy Man of the Match, Nat Phillips.

Signing the 41-cap Spain international was supposed to take Klopp’s men to another dimension in terms of being able to control games.
Unfortunately, through no fault of their own, the cultured star has been unable to find his feet in a settled side.
With recent form showing signs of the Spaniard’s best, Kopites can look forward to watching Thiago run the show alongside Jordan Henderson and Fabinho next term.
