Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has sounded a warning to rivals ahead of next season after the Reds secured UEFA Champions League football for 2021/22.
Having looked miles off the pace just a handful of weeks ago, Jurgen Klopp’s side has rallied in recent fixtures and finished third against the odds.
Often out of form this season, Sadio Mane looked back to his former self as the Reds wrapped up a 2-0 victory at Anfield to end the campaign on a high in front of 10,000 Kopites.
Following the match, many of the squad took to social media to note the strong and most welcome finfish.
But, Alexander-Arnold, whose form has been integral to Klopp’s men in recent weeks, took the opportunity to send a message of intent ahead of next term on Twitter.
Twitter: Next year we’re coming back for trophies. Thank you for the support til the very end Reds. We always find a way.

The 22-year-old has been in outstanding form during the run-in, delivering two displays against Manchester United and Burnley which earned Sofascore ratings over 8.00.

There is certainly room for optimism following what was a superb end to the season.
Klopp will no doubt welcome Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Jordan Henderson back to full fitness with open arms – all players who will make a huge difference to the 2021/22 campaign.
Despite all the key returnees – Liverpool will certainly be looking to tweak some things in the squad over the summer, with both outgoings and incoming imminently possible.
Get the summer right and Alexander-Arnold’s call for more trophies will have an incredible chance of coming true.
