Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson named in England’s final Euro 2020 squad

England manager Gareth Southgate has finally announced his final 26-man squad for Euro 2020.

The tournament, which kicks off in just ten days time, is set to be heavily featured at Wembley Stadium.

It has been revealed that Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have made the cut.

Initial reports had suggested that Trent wouldn’t make the final squad for the tournament after the provisional squad.

Despite this, the England Twitter account revealed the final squad this evening with the pair included…

It is great news for England fans to finally see the 26-man squad that will take on the tournament this month.

Having the experience and winning mentality of the Liverpool duo is a huge positive.

Not only that, but the squad as a whole looks impressive and highlights some of the countries best talent.

Whether the pair will have important roles during the tournament is yet to be seen.

However, Henderson’s leadership will be hugely important for the country and the squad itself.

Trent would be a great starter on the right-hand side whether that be at right-back or at right-midfield.

Southgate even teased the possibility of deploying Trent in midfield – so it will be exciting to see how that develops.
