Liverpool have hit social media with a double unveiling this morning as the new away kit for the 2021/22 season makes an entrance alongside Ibrahima Konate.
The throwback kit is a nod to the style of shirts worn in 1993/94 and 1994/95, predominantly ecru accompanied by a red and green trim.
Not content with simply giving Kopites a new kit to purr over, the media team clearly felt it necessary to show off new signing Konate on Twitter and confirm the Frenchman’s squad number in the process.

The 22-year-old, signed from RB Leipzig for £36million (Sky Sports), will wear the number five shirt, vacated by Gini Wijnaldum and previously worn by the likes of Daniel Agger, Alan Hansen and Emlyn Hughes.
Konate left the Bundesliga side having made 95 senior appearances in Germany and arrives at Anfield with plenty of potential.

What a morning Reds.
Having moved from New Balance to Nike in a lucrative switch before the start of last season, this is the best design the American Sports giant has delivered since.
The perfect blend of nostalgia and modern day style, Liverpool fans worldwide will be looking forward to seeing their new man and the rest of the stars strutting their stuff in the new kit.
