Paul Robinson says Adama Traore could make ‘incredible impact’ at Liverpool

Former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson has predicted reported Liverpool target Adama Traore to have an ‘incredible impact’ at Anfield.

This comes after a report from Football Insider claimed the Reds had made an enquiry regarding the availability of the 25-year-old winger.

Jurgen Klopp is a known admirer of the Spaniard’s talents and the interest should come as little surprise as the German manager attempts to strengthen the attacking options.

Despite only managing 13 minutes for Spain during Euro 2020, whilst speaking to Football Insider, Robinson has tipped Traore to add a whole new dimension to the Anfield ranks.

I think he will be an incredible impact player for Liverpool next season if he joins. He is someone who I would love to see him at Tottenham. I was very surprised Enrique didn’t use him more at the Euros. I really rate him. He brings such an impetus going forward. He has come on leaps and bounds in the last 12 to 18 months and I think wherever he goes he will do well. Jota has managed to infiltrate that Liverpool front three and I don’t think it’s set in stone anymore who will play. He wouldn’t start every game but his pace and directness would be a huge asset to them. Traore would have an impact wherever he goes. He is a top player. I’m sure many clubs in the Premier League are looking at him.

On the back of a disappointing European Championship and domestic campaign, during which the powerful ace scored twice and added three assists in 37 Premier League outings, Wolves have reportedly slashed their asking price from £70million to £50million.

That is still some way off the £25million Liverpool had hoped to pay for the star Klopp once hailed as ‘unbelievable’ after an Anfield encounter.

RED LIVERPOOL VERDICT

Possessing remarkable pace and power, Traore is a hard man to stop once in full flow and could certainly add to the Reds’ ranks.

Certainly an option from the start, but moreover as an impact player to add to the firepower when defences have tired, the Spaniard is a frightening proposition to follow the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Albeit question marks still hang over the winger’s end product, Klopp and the Liverpool coaching staff would no doubt improve that and could take Traore to the next level entirely.

Valued at £27million and under contract at Molineux until 2023 (Transfermarkt) despite the current disparity in valuation, Liverpool aren’t too far away from achieving an agreeable fee.
