On this day (July 22) in 2020, Liverpool ended a 30-year wait for a domestic top-flight title by lifting the Premier League in Kop at Anfield.
Having come close on numerous occasions beforehand, the Reds were not to be denied on this occasion, despite the best efforts of a global pandemic bringing the world to a standstill.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had dominated the rest of the league during an all-conquering campaign and were rightly crowned champions following a resounding 5-3 victory over Chelsea.
