Liverpool will kickstart their home Premier League campaign on Saturday at lunchtime with the visit of Burnley to Anfield.
The Reds will hope to make the L4 home a fortress once again after the Lancashire club brought an end to a 68 game unbeaten run last season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side fell short of their usual high standards in multiple areas last term, culminating in a wretched loss of form on Merseyside.
Now back to winning ways and with key players back to fitness, things are looking up at Anfield.
Saturday’s fixture will be refereed by Mike Dean – the same official who took charge last season – and Stuart Atwell will be on VAR duty.
The appointments were confirmed by the Premier League and cited by The Anfield Talk on Twitter.

Klopp could welcome back Curtis Jones, Jordan Henderson and Thiago for the meeting as all three edge closer to full fitness.
READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT
After a dismal showing almost exclusively from officials throughout last season in terms of on-field decisions and use of VAR, the opening weekend went by almost without a hitch or contentious moment.
Hopefully, the upcoming fixtures will produce more of the same and Klopp’s men can right the wrongs of last season against a stubborn Burnley side.
