Rival pundits Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have been comparing Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The duo discussed the pros and cons of the respective manager’s starts to life in the hot seat as Solskjaer fast approaches 100 games in charge at Old Trafford.
Taking a look at both records after 99 matches, Klopp comes out on top in almost every aspect – although neither managed to win a trophy in the same period.
Twitter: “Klopp did it with a £30m profit and Ole has a net spend £314m – the big thing is what happens next.”

One major difference between the two not mentioned in the discussion is their previous records, with Klopp already a two-time Bundesliga champion with Borussia Dortmund prior to arriving on Merseyside.
The 54-year-old had enjoyed success in Germany, whilst Solskjaer had lifted titles in Norway and as Under 21 boss in Manchester following a Premier League relegation with Cardiff City.

The glaringly obvious difference between the two is the expenditure in order to achieve the respective progress.
Albeit much of the profit during the early period in Klopp’s tenure was brought about following the £142million sale of Philippe Coutinho, the Brazilian was an integral part of an otherwise lacklustre squad inherited by the German boss.
Ultimately Klopp’s 100th game and onwards has brought about riches beyond many Kopites’ wildest dreams – something Neville will no doubt Solskjaer can even come close to emulating.
