Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Newcastle United academy prospect Bobby Clark this week.
The Reds have developed a penchant for snapping up the best youth talent in the country in recent months and Clark is the latest addition.
Having already signed Marcelo Pitaluga, Kaide Gordon and Harvey Elliott in recent times, the club will hope the 16-year-old can be the next to make an impression on Jurgen Klopp’s first team.
The move was confirmed by Liverpool’s official website and cited by Watch LFC on Twitter.

Remarkably, Clark made an Under 18 debut aged just 14 in the FA Youth Cup against West Brom – surely a sign of a promising future.
Given the rise of Gordon and Elliott during pre-season, Liverpool fans can be optimistic that the recruitment has once again landed a youngster with the ability to one day break into the senior plans at Anfield.
From the players perspective, clearly, Clark has seen a well-trodden pathway from academy to stardom on Merseyside – a route the teenager will be hopeful of pursuing.
For the likes of Clark, Gordon, Pitaluga and Polish teen sensation Mateusz Musialowski, the upcoming Carabao Cup clash with Norwich may represent an opportunity to make a name in senior football.
