The future of Divock Origi at Liverpool has been thrown up in the air for some time now.
Much of last season saw the Belgium forward linked with a move away, with Wolves interested in the winter.
This summer has been no different, with Origi’s future at the club very much a key talking point.
It has initially been felt that the club would look to receive between £12m and £15m for the 26-year-old striker.
Despite a number of European clubs being interested, however, no concrete offers have been made.
That is according to The Athletic’s James Pearce, who says the players wages have also been a prohibitive…
As cited by LFC Transfer Room and above, it seems as though Origi’s career is in a state of limbo at the moment.
His time at the club hasn’t quite gone to plan and he deserves a better chance.
Considering the supposed interest from clubs across Europe, it is strange to see a lack of offers for the forward.
He may not have had the most impact at Anfield, but he has delivered some incredible moments for Reds fans.
If the club were to eventully sell him then a fee would no doubt add to future deals in the market.
As Pearce also states, Origi isn’t looking for a move away, nor is he pushing for one.
The striker is hoping for more minutes this seaosn but it is unlikely he will get the game time he is hoping for.
However, there is hope that is a move doesn’t come through before the end of the window, Origi can contribute where needs be.
