Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde.
The versatile 23-year-old has been a heavily rotated member of Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season and could look for a more prominent role in the future.
Under previous manager Zinedine Zidane, Valverde was somewhat of a utility man and was an acting right-back against the Reds in an impressive Anfield display in the UEFA Champions League.
Now according to a report from El Nacional, Jurgen Klopp is considering a move for the Uruguayan star.
The report claims that the German manager would ‘love’ to add the 35-cap ace to the ranks on Merseyside.
This season Valverde has made 12 appearances for Los Blancos across all competitions.

Valued at £58.8million and under contract until 2027 (Transfermarkt), signing the ace would likely be a hugely expensive venture.
Boasting an array of impressive attributes, the man who is predominantly a midfielder would add excellent versatility to Klopp’s squad.
Unfortunately, given the length of the contract and the ludicrous €1 billion release clause, on this occasion, it would appear only the player forcing a move would make this even remotely possible.
