Despair has been the overriding emotion during the international break amongst Liverpool fans as numerous first-team players seemingly picked up knocks.
Following the early return to Mersyseide of Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson, Andy Robertson hobbled off with what appeared to be a hamstring problem for Scotland this week.
Now, cult-hero and attacking understudy Divock Origi has added to the Reds’ woes having limped off when starting for Belgium against Wales on Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old had been impressive for The Red Devils prior to being forced off in the 59th minute.
Thankfully manager Roberto Martinez played down the injury to the 30-cap ace and suggested Oriri had merely suffered a dead leg.
It was a mixed day for Jurgen Klopp on the fitness front as both Henderson and Mane returned to the training pitch, seemingly without the ill effects of their respective knocks.
Meanwhile, Harvey Elliott also stepped up his recovery as both Roberto Firmino and Curtis Jones were ruled out of action for an extended period.

Recent injuries have tested Klopp’s squad to the limit and have begun to have an adverse impact in recent weeks.
As January approaches and with it the African Cup of Nations, Liverpool may need to consider an early transfer in order to cope with the loss of Mohamed Salah, Naby Keita and Mane.
At present Klopp will be heavily reliant on the likes of Diogo Jota, Takumi Minamino, Firmino and Origi to lead the line against Brentford and Crystal Palace at least.
