Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has been lauding Liverpool midfield duo Thiago and Fabinho.
The duo have been somewhat of a lesser-seen entity as a pair due to persistent injuries and selection issues.
However, in recent weeks, they have begun to enjoy a flourishing partnership and the stats bear out their effectiveness in the heart of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Speaking to Football Insider, Robinson was full of praise for both in terms of their individual skillsets and in tandem.
The key to Liverpool’s title challenge is how they do when Salah and Mane go to the African Cup of Nations. If they are there or thereabouts at the beginning of February, when those players come back, they are in with a real chance. Fabinho and Thiago are finally playing together regularly. Thiago is reaching the level that we knew he had in him. He is producing consistently now. The two of them together have been brilliant. [Jordan] Henderson, [James] Milner and [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain cannot play every single game. Klopp needs Thiago and Fabinho to stay fit.
Liverpool are undefeated in the 13 occasions Thiago and Fabinho have been named in the starting eleven, drawing only once – the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park last season.

The mere fact Thiago was signed over a year ago and has only featured alongside the Brazilian 13 times is astounding in itself.
Jurgen Klopp will hope the pair, as well as various other midfield options, can enjoy a prolonged run of fitness in order to maintain the Reds’ push for glory.
Likely to start together tonight (December 1) as Liverpool face Everton, another Thiago and Fabinho mastercalsss wouldn’t go amiss.
