Former Premier League goalkeeper Paul Robinson has been praising ‘brilliant’ Liverpool forward Diogo Jota.
The 25-year-old was once again in superb form as the Reds overcame Leicester City 5-4 on penalties following a 3-3 draw at Anfield.
Coming on as a substitute at half-time, Jota was in inspired form for Jurgen Klopp’s side and got the hosts back in the contest with a well taken left-footed strike before netting the winning spot-kick.
Speaking to Football Insider, Robinson lauded the impact made by the Portuguese ace.
Jota is just getting better and better. I’m impressed every time I watch him. There was always a lot of talk about who could break that front three and a lot of people thought nobody could. Jota has done the seemingly impossible. The club definitely did their due diligence on him because his attitude on and off the field is exemplary. He fits into that team perfectly. His movement on and off the ball is quite brilliant and he always looks like he is going to score. What a signing he’s proved to be.
So far this season Jota has scored 12 times and provided two assists in 22 appearances across all competitions.

Perhaps the biggest compliment anyone can pay Jota is that the former Wolves man has forced his way into the reckoning alongside Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Now having directly contributed to 28 goals in just 52 outings for the Anfield club, Jota has already proven to be extraordinary value for money.
With a chaotic schedule ahead and the African Cup of Nations just around the corner, Klopp will look towards the £40.5million valued star more than ever.
