Liverpool have been named as ‘favourites’ to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.
The Reds have been extensively linked with a move for the 24-year-old for some time and could finally make their move in the summer.
Following the departure of Gini Wijnaldum as a free agent, Jurgen Klopp opted not to sign an immediate replacement despite an expectancy from elsewhere.
According to a report from Spanish outlet Nacional, as cited by Liverpool FC News on Twitter, the Anfield club are the frontrunners for the Belgian.

The report claims that Liverpool are ahead of Barcelona in the race and are already in ‘very advanced negotiations’ for the 47-cap ace.
This season Tielemans – hailed as ‘fantastic’ by Emile Heskey – has scored six times and provided three assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.

Valued at £49.5million and under contract in the Midlands until 2023 (Transfermarkt), it’s no surprise to see the cultured midfielder’s future being scrutinised.
Already a consistent performer at the top level, the Belgian is expected to ’embark on a new adventure’ at the end of the season and Liverpool should be all over any possible capture.
Boasting a wide range of attributes both in an attacking and defensive sense, Klopp would no doubt be delighted with the addition of Tielemans to the Anfield squad.
