Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow as Trent Alexander-Arnold has been ruled out of their clash with Genk in the Champions League.
The Atheltic journalist James Pearce claims that he has been ruled out due to having a virus, which will cause him to watch on from the sidelines.

Who will play at right-back?

Jurgen Klopp could opt to hand Ki-Jana Hoever his Champions League debut this week to replace Alexander-Arnold. The teenage defender has made one appearance this season, against MK Dons, and scored.
The Dutch youth international would surely relish the chance to compete in one of the best competitions in the world and it would be an excellent opportunity to see if he is ready for first-team football. However, Klopp could go down the safer route of deploying James Milner or Joe Gomez at full-back.
Who wants safe, though? It would be great to see an academy player given a chance to play in the Champions League for Liverpool and even better if they impressed. With all due respect to Genk, it is also a game Liverpool are expected to win which should take some of the pressure off Hoever if he does start.
