All you need is Klopp

All you need is Klopp

We are close to three weeks into the transfer window and due to the delicate nature of ‘Liverpool Twitter’, one could think we had already lost out on a title challenge for the next couple of seasons.

Mario Götze had all hoping, nobody knows the real level of Piotr Zielinski and the players our rivals are linked to are mouthwatering.

Yes, it is frustrating to be a Liverpool supporter, I’ll give you that.

We have been linked to over 30 players in the last couple of months, but we have only signed Loris Karius this summer.

What can we take from this, well, here’s what I came up with:

· Liverpool have sufficiently closed any leaks within the club.

· Agents use Liverpool to interest other clubs and get better contracts.

· Semi-professional journalists and “ITK’s” use Liverpool’s enormous following to generate activity on their accounts by creating rumours.

· We look for the right deals in terms of quality, price etc.

· Patience is needed, we have plenty of time left to strengthen our starting XI.

The last one is probably the most important.

Patience, patience and patience!

Many have crashed several keyboards over the way Liverpool have acted in the last couple of years on the transfer market and such reaction is certainly understandable. We have made some real shockers!

Time and time again we have lost several key figures for differing reasons and have failed to replace them.

We have spent silly money on the likes of Andy Carroll, Adam Lallana (I like him, but not worth his transfer fee) and Christian Benteke just to highlight a few.

The millions we have thrown at Southampton or other “proven” English talent is cringeworthy and I have had just about enough of signing these players.

That is why a player like Sadio Mane, doesn’t exactly get me excited. Yes, he is certainly talented, but too inconsistent and we already have a few of those.

I believe one of the main factors for our lack of success is due to the inconsistency with managers.

Formations and playing systems have been replaced and changed several times since Rafa Benitez. His successors have all had different ideas and approaches on how to take Liverpool forward. However, the right magic spell or formula hasn’t been obtained as of yet.

This lead me to the reasoning for the headline! Ladies and gentlemen, I’m happy to remind you that we have Jürgen Norbert Klopp as our manager!

You know, that German fellow who took a bunch of kids and won the title in a league where Bayern Munich had monopoly and continuously bought his best players.

With little player incomings so far, Klopp has chosen to strength his back-room staff with the likes of Mona Nemmer and Andreas Kornmayer.

They previously worked at one of the finest football institutions the world of football has to offer.

They highlight a new dawn as the real progress under Klopp is about to begin.

The first whole pre-season with triple training sessions as a preparation for his first whole season.

That and him are what makes me excited.

What Klopp achieved in Dortmund was massive and with the resources he now has available, I couldn’t be more enthusiastic about the future.

So for me, the number nor the name of the players we bring in isn’t as important as the manager managing.

You could say I’m very Klopptimistic about the future…
