Allan Souza returns to Liverpool with ligament injury

Allan Rodrigues de Souza has returned to Liverpool from his loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt after picking up an injury, The Liverpool Offside reports.

Souza suffered lateral collateral ligament damage during a training session with the Bundesliga side last week and is now expected to return to Liverpool to undergo his rehabilitation with the club’s medical staff.

It is believed the youngster will be out of action for around six weeks.

Souza joined the Reds aged 18 and is yet to make an appearance for the club after struggling to obtain a work permit to play football in England.

Souza has already undertaken several loan spells at Finnish club SJK Seinajoki, Beligian second-tier club Sint-Truiden, Cypriot club Apollon Limassol, and Hertha Berlin and Eintracht Frankfurt.
