Aston Villa have made a move to sign Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn on loan for the coming season.
According to The Telegraph, Woodburn is set to be withdrawn from the club’s USA tour to complete a loan move.
The report claims that Aston Villa are in talks with Liverpool over a deal for the midfielder, who looks set for his first loan switch.
Telegraph claim that Sheffield United and Wigan have both made offers for Woodburn, but Villa are the favourites to land him.

Villa are currently under a transfer embargo for breaking FFP rules, but it is expected to be lifted by the end of next week.
The Championship club are then expected to push through a move for Woodburn, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Liverpool have previously been linked with Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish and they could use Woodburn to secure a deal for the 22-year-old.
