Liverpool kicked off their Audi Cup campaign with an impressive win over hosts Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
The away side took the lead in the sixth minute through Sadio Mane. Coutinho played a ball through to the winger, who finished well into the far corner.
Mohamed Salah doubled the lead in the 34th minute. Mane played a superb flick to Alberto Moreno, with his cross finding the head of Salah to plant into an empty net.
Substitute Marko Grujic was disallowed a goal in the 71st. Ryan Kent produced some excellent skill down the wing before cutting the ball back for Grujic to side-foot the ball into the bottom corner off the post.
However, the strike was ruled out, with the reasoning unknown.
Daniel Sturridge rounded off the scoring after he came off the bench as he raced clear before producing a delicate dink over the top of the goalkeeper.
Liverpool were then able to hold onto their win and keep a clean sheet at the Allianz to round off a superb performance.
