Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is attracting the interest of newly promoted Serie A side Carpi, according to GianlucaDimarzio.com.
New sporting director Sean Sogliano is keen to try and pull of a deal for Borini to return to his native Italy, but recognises that it will be tough to pull off.
With the arrival of Christian Benteke and Danny Ings, Brendan Rodgers is looking to revamp his forward line with Borini, Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli all allowed to leave Anfield this summer.
The 24 year old arrived on Merseyside in 2012 and has failed to impress during his three-year stay, the Italian spent part of the 2013\14 season on loan at fellow Premier League side Sunderland.
The striker rejected an opportunity to make his move to the Stadium of Light permanent and instead opted to stay and fight for his place at Liverpool.
Borini has endured an unsuccessful time on Merseyside, only scoring twice during three seasons for the Reds.
The Italian was left out of the first team squad for their pre-season tour of the Far East and Asia, as an exit looks more than likely.
