Bournemouth linked with Wilson move – should Liverpool keep hold of him?

Liverpool allowing Harry Wilson to join Bournemouth makes sense, although a permanent deal is more preferable than a loan move.

The Mail‘s Dominic King has confirmed that the two clubs are “in talks” with regards to a loan deal being completed before Thursday’s transfer cutoff, assuming Wilson earns enough playing tie.

David Brooks’ absence through injury has left a void in Bournemouth’s squad, with the Liverpool forward seen as an ideal man to bring in.

It is a move that looks perfect on paper, suiting all parties down to the ground.

The Cherries are renowned for being a ball-playing team with youth in their ranks, which means Wilson could slot in seamlessly.

Despite calls for Liverpool to keep hold of Wilson this season, he is not at the level required to be a hit at Anfield.

His talent is undeniable, but the Reds are now at a point where they are European champions and the 22-year-old is a level down from those around him.

In truth, Wilson is unlikely to ever make the grade at Liverpool, so a permanent move to Dean Court would be the ideal outcome.

The Reds rate the Welshman at £25 million – whether or not Bournemouth would be willing to match that amount remains to be seen.

For now, it looks like Wilson will head off on a temporary basis, but there comes a point when the loan switches have to end and you take the money.
