Former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones has confirmed that there are “no major issues”, having picked up a head injury for Al-Nassr last Friday.
The 36-year-old suffered the serious knock in his side’s 2-0 defeat to Al Ahli, with the game stopped for nearly 10 minutes while he received attention.
Having regained consciousness, Jones was stretchered from the pitch and taken to hospital, where he was eventually discharged.

Afterwards, Jones took to his Twitter account to allay any fears surrounding his health, saying:
Thanks everyone for their thoughts. I’m back home now and resting up. No major issues, just a concussion and some bruising. Looking forward to getting back out with the team on the pitch as soon as possible.
Although a major problem has been avoided, Jones is still set to miss around six weeks of action.
That would rule him out of Australia’s upcoming friendlies with South Korea and Lebanon later this month.

Jones made the move to Al-Nassr in August, signing a two-year deal following a spell with Feyenoord.
The Australian made just 27 appearances over a four-year period at Liverpool, during which time he failed to convince between the sticks.
He never managed to nail down a regular spot as the Reds’ first-choice goalkeeper, being kept out by the likes of Pepe Reina and Simon Mignolet.
