Brewster closing in on Palace switch

Rhian Brewster is reportedly closing in on a loan move to join Crystal Palace in January.

The Express reports that the player is on the verge of a temporary move away from Anfield after failing to break into Jurgen Klopp’s side so far this season.

Brewster, who has finally got the better of his injury problems, has been limited to just two League Cup appearances.

This will be a risky move for Brewster because he’s a player that simply needs game time as soon as possible.

There’s no guarantees that he’ll walk straight into the Palace side, despite Roy Hodgson’s men struggling for goals as things stand.

He’ll have a chance to prove himself in the Premier League and show some of the potential that many at Anfield believe he has.

If he fails to break through at Palace though, the move to Selhurst Park could come back to bite him. A loan stint in the Championship, where game time would’ve been far more frequent might have been the more beneficial move to make.
