Brighton considering permanent Dominic Solanke move

According to the Mirror, Brighton & Hove Albion have joined the race to land Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke, and are considering a permanent offer for the youngster.

The 21-year-old has turned out 27 times for the Reds since joining from Chelsea in 2017, finding the back of the net once against Chris Hughton’s side on the final day of the previous campaign.

The England international is thought to be open to a move away in the new year, with Rangers boss Steven Gerrard considering a loan deal for the striker.

However, with Huddersfield Town and Crystal Palace also keen on securing the forward’s services in January, Brighton are thought to be considering a permanent move for Solanke.

The frontman hasn’t featured under Jurgen Klopp this season and has recently picked up a muscle problem.

And with Liverpool reportedly favouring a loan move over a permanent move away for the striker, Brighton may well have to place a large offer for the Reds to consider changing their mind, or alternatively join the queue in hoping to land the forward on loan for the rest of the season.
