Former England international Owen Hargreaves believes Liverpool should make a move for Hakan Calhanoglu, as per BT Sport (via the Daily Star).
The Turkish international has consistently improved during his four full seasons in the Bundesliga, and the 21-year-old would be a perfect fit at Anfield, claims the former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder.
The pundit recently told BT Sport: “Calhanoglu is the star. He is the feature of this team. If you think about Liverpool or Tottenham, he would be perfect in those teams.”

Calhanoglu has spent his entire professional career in Germany, with the 2014-15 campaign his most successful yet.
The talented midfielder has been impressive in Leverkusen’s opening two Bundesliga victories this season, and ensured his clubs participation in the UEFA Champions League this season after scoring in their 3-0 qualifying victory against Lazio Wednesday night, seemingly continuing his excellent form from the previous season.
Liverpool were reportedly interested in Calhanoglu earlier this summer, and he has been linked with numerous top European clubs in the recent past.
A move could happen in the near future due to the increasing interest in the midfield star, who will undoubtedly want to play at the highest level possible.
