Diego Carlos reportedly rejected a potential move to Liverpool during the January transfer window, according to El Desmarque.
The 27-year-old Sevilla defender was linked with the Reds prior to the window opening, but a move never came to fruition.
This latest update claims that Carlos, who is valued at £36m, didn’t want to leave his current club, instead looking to possibly move on this summer.

While I think Carlos could be good signing for Liverpool at the end of the season, I’m not sure there is a need to bring him in. Given his status as an established, highly-rated key man at Sevilla – he has started 25 of their 27 La Liga games this season – it’s fair to say he might be looking for regular first-team action at Anfield.
With Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez the undisputed first-choice centre-back pairing, and Joel Matip also a strong option, I wouldn’t see that happening, though.
Liverpool are in a position where they may need a new fourth-choice option, should Dejan Lovren leave this summer, but that is more likely to be a young player such as Leeds United’s loan star Ben White, who has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent months.
If Carlos was happy to play that role, it would be advisable for the Reds to a make a bid, but as a player who still has international aspirations, that doesn’t appear likely.
