Date for Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal confirmed – should Klopp rotate?

Liverpool’s fourth round Carabaoa Cup tie with Unai Emery’s Arsenal will be played at Anfield on Wednesday, October 30th live on Sky Sports, with the game kicking off at 7:30pm (BST).

The tie will present a good chance for Jurgen Klopp to show further faith in his young reds, who impressed in the third round against a resilient MK Dons side.

The fourth round tie will give Klopp another chance to rest some of his superstar players ahead of a busy schedule.

The Gunners’ trip to Anfield is nestled in between games against Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City, so rotation is essential.

With seven games in 22 days, it would be wise of Klopp to heavily change his personnel against the north London side.

It would be a huge learning curve for some of the younger players who impressed against MK Dons, including Harvey Elliott and Rhian Brewster.

In reality, there is unlikely to be as much rotation as the third round, though, with a few more senior heads guiding the youngsters through the game.

If Klopp does go with lots of emerging talent, they will be relishing the prospect of lining up at Anfield under the lights against one of England’s biggest clubs.
