Bobby Duncan’s imminent move to Fiorentina may end up benefiting the youngster, but it is an undoubted risk.
According to the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old is “on the brink” of moving to Italy permanently.
Liverpool have allowed Duncan to discuss terms and have a medical, with European transfers having to be completed by Tuesday.
He is expected to sign a three-year deal with Fiorentina, bringing his short spell at Anfield to an end, having joined from Manchester City last summer.

Duncan was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons last week, with Liverpool accused of behaving negligently towards him, as he pushed for a move away.
While he deserves some credit for wanting to be challenged abroad, he was progressing superbly at Liverpool and this move is a risk.
A lack of patience has been shown by the teenager, who has only recently been promoted from the Reds’ under-18s setup to the under-23s.
It may be that Duncan flourishes at Fiorentina immediately and the move pays off, but it is risky to leave Liverpool on a permanent basis.
