With the eagerly-anticipated launch of EA Sports’ FIFA 16 less than three weeks away, speculation is beginning to build about what to expect from the game’s latest title.
It has already been announced that women’s teams will be on the game for the first time in its illustrious history, but what Liverpool fans really want to know is – how well will the Redmen be rated this year?
Well, the waiting is over, as EA Sports have released their FIFA 16 ratings for each player on the game, and as expected, there are a fair few surprises.
With Steven Gerrard now stateside, Philippe Coutinho has cemented his place as Anfield’s main man with a rating of 84. This is the best of any Liverpool player, ahead of Daniel Sturridge (83), Christian Benteke (82) and Roberto Firmino (82).
Despite an impressive 2014-15 season, Jordan Henderson is judged to be on par with Lucas Leiva as both are rated 79, whilst Emre Can remains the side’s worst midfielder with a rating of just 75.
Of Liverpool’s other summer signings, Divock Origi and Danny Ings are rated 76 and 75 respectively, whilst James Milner and Nathaniel Clyne are seen as slightly better with scores of 81 and 80.
Back-up goalkeeper Adam Bogdan is rated 72, but the most shocking score lies with his competitor for the number one jersey, Simon Mignolet, who has gone from 82 to 78 – the third biggest downgrade on this year’s title.
