Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott has whipped up a storm on Twitter following his cameo against Lyon in a friendly on Wednesday.
The Reds ran out 3-1 winners, despite going 1-0 down early on, with Elliott coming on for the last 30 minutes of the game.
Elliott joined Liverpool earlier this summer from recently relegated Fulham and has enjoyed a very promising start.
Here are some fan reactions from Twitter…

Elliott clearly caught the eye with his short time on the pitch, showing off his dribbling ability down the flank with a number of impressive touches.

Twitter: Not that I’m overreacting to a friendly but if anyone can find me the odds on Harvey Elliott winning the 2020 Ballon d’Or I’d appreciate it. (@stehoare)
Elliott for the 2020 Ballon d’Or? Not quite, but it is certainly a promising start for the 16-year-old – who became the youngest Premier League debutant of all time for Fulham last season.
Twitter: Much better from @LFC. Harvey Elliot though, looks mature beyond his years. In his brief game time this pre-season… https://t.co/TgFAA4jCxW (@KoptimusPrime)
It’s not always easy to judge teams and players in pre-season matches, just look at Liverpool’s results so far, but it’s clear to see that Elliott has an abundance of talent and Jurgen Klopp is the ideal coach to get the best out of him int he coming years.
With the likes of Shaqiri and Mo Salah ahead of him in the pecking order, could Elliott have a chance in Liverpool’s first-team next season? That remains to be seen, with a loan move perhaps the best option for the teenager.
