European giants set to move for Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge has emerged as a target for French champions Paris Saint-Germain, claims Sami Mokbel of the Mail.

He states that representatives from the Ligue 1 outfit will be present at England’s friendly with Holland on Tuesday – a game in which Sturridge is expected to take part.

The Mail report that both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edison Cavani are set to leave the Parisian club, and that the Liverpool striker is among those that they have lined up to replace the duo.

The former Chelsea star, who still has three years left on his deal, is fit again after spending the first half of the season on the sidelines.

His quality was on display against Southampton at the weekend as he cooly netted his seventh goal in 14 appearances this term.

Mokbel also says that Premier League teams Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal may move for Cavani, thus starting the merry-go-round that could see Sturridge move.
