Talk surrounding Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane’s rumoured falling-out at Burnley was always overblown.
Mane was left infuriated with his teammate during the 3-0 win at Turf Moor back in August, when he chose not to pass to him in front of goal.
Some believed it had damaged the pair’s relationship, but just like he extinguishes danger on a football pitch, Fabinho has put out the flames with regards to the incident.
Speaking to The Straits Times, the Brazilian revealed that there was no issue after the match and that such disagreements can take place in the heat of the moment:
Of course they’re still friends. Afterward, they joked in the dressing room and spoke normally. They are very good friends.
In the moment in the game, things can get heated but it’s not the first time and won’t be the last time. It’s okay.

There were many who were desperate to make a big deal out of the situation, particularly those seemingly wanting Liverpool to fail.
The truth is that such squabbles happen every week on football pitches around the world.
It is clear that Salah and Mane remain close friends, as they continue to wreak havoc together for Liverpool.
If anything, the incident at Burnley simply showed how much both want to win, especially the former, who cut such an angry figure at the time.
That winning mentality is something that is integral to the Reds’ current success.
