Liverpool look to be back in the swing of things after a poor start to the year, having won their last two Premier League outings.
The Reds have put both Arsenal and Burnley to the sword in the last couple of weeks at Anfield and will be relieved to be back to winning ways.
However, there are still some noticeable foibles in their play. Whilst the attacking play is consistently dangerous, the defensive organisation and quality still remains questionable to say the very least.
One position that has been particularly scrutinised this season has been the central defensive spot next to Joel Matip.
Whilst the former Schalke man has been in impressive form in his maiden Premier League season, his central defensive companions have left a lot to be desired.
Dejan Lovren has been plagued with injury for much of the season, whilst Ragnar Klavan is perceived mainly as a backup centre-back. Lucas Leiva has also played at the back despite being a defensive midfielder by trade and has been, to be bluntly honest, woeful.
So, here are some central defenders that Jurgen Klopp should look to sign in the summer!
