Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has vowed to give his all to Liverpool while he is still contracted to the club.
According to Sky Sports News, Liverpool will hold further talks with Can before the month is out in a last ditch attempt to persuade him into signing a new deal, instead of signing a pre-contract deal with another club.
Juventus were previously thought to have agreed terms with Can over signing a pre-contract arrangement which would see the German join the Italian giants next summer.
Director general of the Bianconeri Giuseppe Marotta also revealed that the Turin-based club were indeed trying to sign Can ahead of next season, which the club are able to do as they don’t play in the Premier League.
Talking to Sky Sports News, Can said;
I still have a contract here until the end of the season. I give everything for the club, I will try to give everything for the club.
The rest is down to my agent, and I’m just responsible for performances on the pitch.
Of course, if I have a contract I will always give my best, or I will try to give my best.
Can had previously been discussing a new deal with the Reds’ however the two parties hit a stumbling block, which was believed to be due to Liverpool’s reluctance to break their club precedent and insert a buy-out clause into the deal.
The Germany international has kept his place in Klopp’s first-team plans since then though, starting in the 4-3 triumph over Manchester City last weekend.
