It’s been clear to see this season that although Liverpool have produced some scintillating displays of attacking football, there are still some areas that could do with some work.
This has only been reinforced by the poor run of form as of late since the turn of the year. Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently sat in fifth place on the Premier League table and despite that being a reasonable position, they’ll be disappointed to have failed to build on their excellent start to the campaign.
Much has been made about Liverpool’s quality going forward, with the Reds receiving plenty of plaudits for their free-scoring nature. However, it’s no secret that there are defensive weaknesses and some teams have found it relatively easy to score against Klopp’s side this season.
Liverpool fans’ frustrations were somewhat understandable in the January transfer window given the lack of business, but it’s almost certain that the squad will be bolstered when the summer transfer window comes around.
So, here are five positions that we feel as though Klopp should look to strengthen in the summer!
