Henderson has called for more consistency

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has called for his side to be more consistent ahead of their weekend clash with Tottenham.

The Reds’ have played some of the best attacking football this season, with forwards’ Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in fine form.

However inconsistency has often been what prevents the club from competing at the very top of the table, which was shown perfectly this week, with the club comprehensibly beating Huddersfield just three days after capitulating against West Brom in the FA Cup.

Despite the occasional poor result, Liverpool are still the only club to beat league leaders Manchester City in the Premier League this season.

Now with Spurs up next, Henderson has called for his side to be more consistent and to target clean sheets. He said;

Spurs have got fantastic players – and a fantastic squad of players.

But we are really excited to see what we can do over these last few months of the season. It will be a big test, but one I think we are ready for.

We need to make sure that we put in performances like we did at Huddersfield on a regular basis.

The points difference doesn’t matter. Spurs are a good side, a top side. But after Huddersfield, we should be full of confidence to go into that game and put in another good performance.
