Manchester City are prepared to trump Liverpool and Arsenal for Monaco forward Thomas Lemar this summer, according to a Telegraph exclusive.
Pep Guardiola has been interested in signing wide talent for a while now, having failed with attempts to sign Alexis Sanchez and Riyad Mahrez in the January transfer window.
While Guardiola would like to sign Eden Hazard, Chelsea have indicated that not even a world record fee would tempt them into doing a deal with the Cityzens.
That will likely see the Sky Blues turn their attention to the France international winger, who is expected to cause a transfer tug-of-war this summer.
Arsenal previously failed with a £90million offer last summer, with rumour reporting that the player had his heart set on a move to Liverpool, however the Reds’ wouldn’t match Monaco’s asking price.

Liverpool were also linked in January, but the club couldn’t agree a deal with the principality club.
Reports in France suggest that Liverpool are trying to force through a move for Lemar, although no deal is thought to be close to completion. This could allow for City to blow them out of the water and complete a summer swoop.
Lemar would be the third mega money signing to arrive at the Etihad from Monaco in the last year, with Guardiola signing Benjamin Mendy and Bernardo Silva from the French Ligue 1 title holders last summer.
With two years remaining on his Monaco contract at the end of this season, it is unclear how much Monaco will demand for their star forward – and it is certainly unclear where he will be playing his football next season.
