Liverpool are interested in Roma and Brazil goalkeeper Alisson, but will face competition from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.
The 25-year old is one of the most wanted ‘keepers in Europe, given his age and the string of impressive performances he continually turns out for the Serie A giants.
Now according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona have stepped up their efforts to sign the Brazilian international.
Jurgen Klopp has grown increasingly frustrated with the quality of his goalkeeping pair, with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius both having failed to truly make the position their own.
Now, Klopp is looking for a new long-term Number One, and Alisson could well be an ideal signing to fill that gap.
The Brazilian joined the Giallorossi in 2016, initially as second choice to former Arsenal loanee shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny at the Stadio Olimpico.
Since having taken over as the Rome club’s first choice however, Alisson has only let in 12 goals in 16 games this season.
