Liverpool cruised past Huddersfield 5-0 at Anfield to go back to the top of the Premier League table.
Goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane (two each) and from Naby Keita made it a comfortable evening for the Reds against an already-relegated Terriers.
Jurgen Klopp’s men opened the scoring after 15 seconds, when Keita won the ball higher up the pitch and continued his run in the box. Salah found him with a reverse ball and the Guinea international then put his foot through to give his team the lead.
The lead was doubled in the 22nd minute, when a fantastic Andy Robertson cross was headed in by Mane.
At the stroke of half-time, a lobbed ball forward from Trent Alexander-Arnold found the run of Salah, who then lobbed the Huddersfield keeper to make it 3-0.
Around the 66th minute, Jordan Henderson curled a beautiful cross for Mane to score his second and Liverpool’s fourth.
It was 5-0 seven minutes from time when Robertson timed his run to hand the goal on the plate for Salah.
All in all, a comfortable performance from Liverpool, who now have a massive Champions League game against Barcelona awaiting.
