Loan Watch: How did Liverpool’s loan players fare at the weekend?

The Reds were victorious over bitter rivals Manchester United as Xherdan Shaqiri and Sadio Mane netted in a 3-1 victory that ultimately cost Jose Mourinho his job.

But how did the player’s on loan way from Anfield get on at the weekend?

Danny Ings – Southampton

Ings scored twice on his return from injury as Southampton defeated Arsenal 3-2 at St Mary’s.

Charlie Austin scored the other goal of the game and Henrikh Mkhitaryan got both for the Gunners.

The Saints moved clear of the relegation zone thanks to the three points and are now in 17th place.

Harry Wilson – Derby County

Wilson played the full 90 minutes at right wing for Derby County in a 0-0 draw to rivals Nottingham Forest at home.

Derby remain in fourth place in the Championship thanks to the point.

Ben Woodburn – Sheffield United

Woodburn was again absent from the match-day squad as Sheffield United were defeated 2-1 at home to West Brom.

David McGoldrick got the goal for the Blades and Gareth Barry and Kieran Gibbs were on target for the visitors.

Sheffield United moved down to fifth place in the Championship.

Ryan Kent – Rangers

With Ovie Ejaria being recalled by Liverpool only Kent remains in Scotland, however, he didn’t feature in the 1-0 victory over Hamilton.

Kyle Lafferty scored the only goal of the game and Steven Gerrard’s Rangers rose to top of the Scottish Premier League table.

Adam Bogdan – Hibernian

Ofir Marciano was still preferred in goal for Hibs and Bogdan had to deal with a spot on the bench.

Hibs beat Celtic 2-0 at home with Vykintas Slivka and Florian Kamberi scoring the goals.

But despite the three points, they remained in eighth place in the Scottish Premier League.

Loris Karius – Besiktas

Karius played the full game in goal but conceded two in a 2-2 draw at home to Trabzonspor.

Ogenyi Onazi and Mustafa Pektemek got the goals for the home side while Hugo Rodallega and Anthony Nwakaeme got the goals for Trabzonspor.

Despite earning just the point Besiktas moved up to third place in the Turkish Super Lig.

Sheyi Ojo – Stade Reims

Ojo came off the bench for Suk Hyun-Jun in the 88th minute for Reims as they beat Strasbourg 2-1 at home.

Moussa Doumbia and Mathieu Cafaro scored for Reims and Adrien Thomasson got the goal for Strasbourg.

Reims moved up to eighth place in Ligue 1.

Marko Grujic – Hertha Berlin

Grujic did not feature in this game after suffering an ankle ligament injury in the previous game.

Berlin were defeated 2-1 away at Stuttgart with Mario Gomez netting twice for the home side and Maximilian Mittelstadt got the goal for Berlin.

Berlin moved down to seventh place in the Bundesliga.

Allan Souza – Eintracht Frankfurt

Allan played no part in Frankfurt’s 2-1 victory at home to Bayer Leverkusen as he did not feature in the starting XI or the bench.

Danny Da Costa and Filip Kostic both scored for Frankfurt and Karim Bellarabi got the goal for Leverkusen.

Frankfurt remained in fifth place in the Bundesliga, with Allan’s side in contention for a Europa League spot for next season.
