Maddison slams the Sun – Liverpool fans react

Several Liverpool fans have responded positively to James Maddison’s latest tweet concerning the Sun.

The Leicester midfielder was pictured arriving at the King Power Stadium for the Foxes’ early kick-off against Tottenham, where the England international was seen wearing an expensive backpack.

Ever the pillar of top class journalism, The Sun wrote a story about Maddison’s “horrific” backpack, making sure to clarify the price of the expensive accessory.

Responding to The Sun Football’s tweet, Maddison put down the outlet, replying with:

Would be worse turning up holding a sun newspaper I guess

Reacting to Maddison’s response on social media, many Liverpool fans were delighted to see the midfielder slam the heavily shunned paper.

Given the amount of times The Sun have drawn national attention this past week for their ‘exploits’, hopefully more of the country will soon establish similar blanket bans of the publication.

The more frequently that people like Jurgen Klopp and James Maddison mention the Sun in a negative light, the more likely it will fade from existence.
